The action with regard to this matter i» simply disgraceful. The step was bitterly opposed all through, bat at last, the Department gave way, and the inhabitants were led to suppose the work would be commenced at once. That ia exactly three months since, and the matter appears to hare not progressed one step further since then, but to have been quietly shelved. In this, also, we wotilil counsel agitation, and an appeal to the Minister of the Department.
