(Before R. Ward, Esq., E.M.) Tbcubsdat; August 22nd, 1878. CIVII, 'CASES. Robert Mackiev. Laura Symonds. — Claim, £20 6s Bd, for goods supplied. Mr Staite appeared for the plaintiff, and stated that the defendant was living apart from her husband, but as she had property .under a protection order she was liable to be sued as a femme sole. There Was no appearance for the defence, and judgment, ex parte, was given for amount claimed, and £2 6s. costs. Thomas Wray v. James N". Owen.- 1 — Claim, 19s. Defendant did not appear, and judgment was given by default for amount claimed, and costs. Thomas Wray v. Peeti.— Claim, £6 15s. Mr Staite defended, disputing some of the terms m the bill of particulars, but submitting to a judgment for £2 ss. • " ■ Thero was a large number of other cases set down for hearing, but upon being long called there being no appearance, they were struck out.
