Mr Snelson, afc his fortnightly sale on Saturday disposed of a lot comprising 1 rood and 8 perches, with a two-roomed house thereon, situated nearHMr Sumnierhays' land, for the sum of £45. On account of the inclemency of the weather the attendance was but small, and consequently the bidding was not brisk. Wangaotji, June 8. Mr [Freeman R. Jackson, reports as follows: — Cattle. — 108 head came forward. Fat cows of good quality made £7 2s 6d eaoh ; bullocks, £8 17s to £9; inferior bullocks, £6 10s j young steers, £4 12s 6d ; two-year-olds, £5 17s 6d ; a mixed lot brought £5 12b 6d. Sheep. — 693 were penned j one pen was l turned out unsold, the price not coming up to the owner's expectations. There was no really good mutton offered. Wethers made 9s 9d to 11s 9d ; ewes, 7s 6d. Pigs.— 47 were sold. Small store pigs, 6s 6d ; fat porkers, 15s to 20s. Horses. — 30 head comprised the day's sale, of which 15 were sold. Good draught horses, £30 to £31 10s ; hacks, £8 10s to £19 10s ; inferior animals, £3 to £6 Is. June 8. Mr Q-eorge A. Hurley reports as follows : — Oats. — The demand for feed oats has been good during the past week, and prices for ordinary samples have been slightly lower ; stocks generally are very short, and cannot be replaced at figures now quoted. Wheat evinces little or no change ; fowl feed is sold retail at 4s 6d to 4s 9d. Maize just coming forward m small stocks which command good prices, 5s 3d to 5s 6d retail being asked. Barley. — No demand excepting small enquiry for fowl feed. Peas and beans, scarce] not more than 20 sacks m market. . Flour continues at about same quotations ,as mentioned last week ; fair demand. Oatmeal, bran, and pollard, unchanged. Chaff. — Quoted variously at £5 to £7 per ton ; the market has been unutually bare owing, no doubt, jto the amount of wet. weather of late. Hay is m good demand at £4 10s to £5 10s, and at higher ratesjfor small quantities. Dunedin, June 6. Wheat is quoted at 4s 3d to 4s 4d ; oats, 3s 4d to 6s 5d j barley, 5s to 5s 6d. Wellington, June 6. Mr Q-. Thomas reports produce prices as follows : — Adelaide flour, £18 } colonial, £13 ; oats, 4s 3d, m demand ; bran, Is 2d ; wheat, 4s ; hams, 9d ; bacon, B£d ; maize, 6s 6d ; cheese, 7d to 8d; pollard, £7 10s ; potatoes, £3 15s ; butter. lOdto Is.
