In connection with this report it was resolved to proceed with the formation of the footpath alongside of Main street and the removal of the timber (from the Square) for kerbing purposes. The bye-laws were amended m accordance with suggestions from the Colonial Secretary. Resolved* that Crs. Cr. Linton, gave notice that he intended to propose, at the next meeting, thai tlie Council hold its: meeting on the first Wednesday of each month instead of the first Friday as at present. He stated that his chief reason was that by th.c proposed alteration the report of each meeting would appear m the Saturday's issue of the newspaper, instead of the following- Wednesday as at presents ACCOUNTS PASSEP.
