A MEETING of Ratepayers and Property Holders only m the Manchester Highways District will be held at the Schoolroom, Feilding, at 8 o'clock p.m., on SATURDAY, the 15th December, 1877,. for the purpose of empowering the Highways Board to request the Governor to proclaim the Manchester Highways District under "The Regulation of Local Elections- Act, 1876," and also, to consider .the advisability of getting Feilding erected into a Municipality. By t>rder of the the Manchester Highways Board. WANTED, by the Manchester Highways Board, a competent person to VALUE the Manchester Highways District, as required by " The Rating Act, 1876." The Valuation Roll prepared must be approved by the Board, and must also pass the Assessment Court, before the Board will hold itself liable for any payment on account thereof. A personal visit to every sold or improved section will be expected. Tenders to be sent m, addressed to the Chairman; on or before noon on SATURDAY, the 15th December, 1877. Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted, as the Board will take into special consideration the fitness of the tenderers to perform the required duties.
