[ We, observe that fancy and useful articles will' be provided m great variety, and that the affair promises to be attractive. Visitors,' therefore^" will have the advantage of. purchasing articles of clothing, ornamentation, etc., while, at the same time, they will be helping on a good cause; The object of the ' Bazaar is the raising of funds for a parsonage at Feilding. An Anglican clergyman -vrill shortly be stationed there, and of course a residence [ is a necessity. ,:'. ; ;.Th©;- Feilding .people are ! quite right m tryipg^ to acquire one: as property, > and fwe trusty that 'they, 1 will meet with a practical sort of sympathy from abroadas well as at home. ? V: - The Rev. Mr Isit^, Wesleyan Ministerfrom New Plymouth, will preach m the Wesleyan Church, Palmefston, on 'Sunday morning and evening at the usual hours He is exchanging pulpits with Mr. Hammond for two weeks, and during that time he will reside m Palmerston. Foxton Choral Society. We may safely say, Mint- the thanks of the public are due to the nforonavnod societies for the efforts put forth by them m assisting to improve the appearance of our cemetery. A serious accident occurred on Wednesday to a young man named Brassey, m the employ of Mr Trimble, the result of which will be, it is feared, the. loss of a portion of his leg. We understand the horse he -was riding fell with him, causing a com* minuted fracture, of the ancle. Dr. Akers is m attendance. Mr T. B. Proctor notifies his arrival m Palmerston, and may be seen at the Clarendon hotel until Monday night. Doubtless m his character as optician his coming will be a boon to many upon whose sight the film of age is gathering, or who from other causes suffer from weakness of yision. EvfcßY Temperance Law hitherto framed admits the necessity of stimulants as medicines, and no teetotaller of sense denies that they are essential elements of cure m a variety of diseases. Only fanatics deny the utility of an alcoholic preparation. The rapid and positive cures of nervous debility, dyspepsia,, kidney and bladder complaints, uterine ailments, wrought by r TJvoisJLp Womb's Schiej&am Asoiulojio' Sohnaips, give the lie to thospwhq derijtht! utility of spirituous medicines.— A^vfc.T ' : ,
