Mabton, November 7. Messrs Beckett and Hammond report wholesale selling prices as under : — Oats,' isbto 5s 6d ; wheat (second quality). 6s j ; .barley, ss, to 6s ; maize, 5s 6d; , chaff, £5 ; , ' flour, £20 to -£22 j potatoes, * £2- 10 to £3 ; ! carrots, £5 10; linseed,' 5d per lb.j rye grass (Canterbury), Bs. Market dull. Wanganui, November 8. Mr Freeman [R. Jackson; reports : — I have "no alterations m prices of stock to quote since my last 'report. The demand for store cattle is still unsatisfied. Sheep were dull of sale at the Yards, to-day, and I did not succeed m placing all that came forward. The following prices were obtained: — Cattle.-7-130 head were yarded. Fat cows, good,quality, £7 10s to £9 5 medium cows, £5 15s; large working bullocks, £9 ss; store steers, £6 15s and £6 12s 6d ; yearlings, £3 2s6d. . . ' Sheep. — 479 were penned. Shorn wethers, 10s ; mixed ewes -and wethers, 8s 66. ; wethers m wool, 12s. Pigs.— Small porkers, 6s 6d; large do., 28s. Horses. — Ajlarge number were offered. The animals belonging to Mr R. McLean's estate brought from £6 10S to ' £33 10s • hacks/from £6 to £14. Exports. — 50 cattle, 280 shqep.
