Mr John Stevens reports — At the sale held at my yards to-day there was an excellent attendance, bidding being brisk and competition for the various lots very spirited. 310 head of cattle, 1,000 sheep, and between 50 and 100 horses were yarded, and priceß ranged as follows : — Highly-bred shorthorn cattle from Napier^-Bought ,by Messrs Douglas and Co., 1 cow and calf, (Countess), £34; ditto, 1 bull, 9 months, (Lord George), £18; D.
