WANOAKtii, October 25. Mr Freeman R. Jackson reports :— The grass that is every where so abundant makes the demand for store stock very keen. Beef rulod at last sale's prices, though the bidding at tho yards to-day was not voryv brisk .for this description of stock. Sheep show , a downward tendency. This must be expected, as large numbers will be m the market after shearing. The prices obtained were as follows: — ; : Cattle. —At Waverley, 535 head were sold. Store bullocks, m forward condition, £7 15s ; store 6teers, £5 Ss to £7 ss ; cows, £5 2s 6d to £5 ss ; two-year-old- mixed, £4 sb; yearlings, £3 2s 6d. At the yards to-day 210 head were yarded and sold. Fat cows, £8 15s to J67 7s 6d; bullocks, medium quality, £8 lOsto £9 12s 6d ; cows, £5; milch cows, £6 ; store steers, all ages, £5 ; heifers, £3 10s. to £4?5b.
