October 13. At the City Police Courfc this morning" Jas. Hogg, farmer, charged with having attempted suicide by cutting his throat at Waipori, was remanded for medical examination. Sunday. ■-. A new penny paper, to be called the "Morning Herald "is to be published here early- m November. The capital is £10,000, m 2000 shares of £5 each, whu^aj-e going ofE rapidly.
