In the interests of such." important places as Foxton, Feilding, and Sandon, as well as of the lesser townships, we have, long felt the want of a competent travelling assistant to make us more perfectly acquainted with the growing requirements of these towns, as these requirements severally arise, so that they may he adequately set forth m our columns. We do not know anyone more fit to supply this desideratum than the gentleman named, and we doubt not the public will be as pleased to learn as We are^tp^announce his connection with the pai>eV. Before dismissing matters journalistic^ we may state that for some time it has been our intention to enlarge the "Manawatu Times" to, doubTe-demy size.
