The entertainment of the - Rose Brothers drew a good house on Wednesday night. The entertainment consisted of a medley of legerdemain, ventriloquism, music and the cabinet puzzle. Some of the card tricks are transparent enough to those who are close to the stage, bat there is sufficient m tlie entertainment to puzzle the closest observer. The cabinet seance is : a mystery well worth seeing but perhaps the pleasantest part of the performance to the music loving people of Palmerston was the singing of Miss Violet Rose. On Thursday last one Albert Austen was brought, before Dr. Rockstrow, J.P., and Y. Monrad, Esq., J.P., charged with being a lunatic* Drs. Johnston and Skerman having certified to the man's insanity, the Court ordered him to be committed- to the Wellington Asylum.
