Septembcsi 1 28. Montagu Pym sold by auctidn five hundred shares m the Union Insurance Company at from 10s 3d to 11s 6d premium. There was spirited competition. It is now generally understood that Messrs Reed and.Fenwick are the purchasers, and that the " Gudrdian " will be incorporated with the " Times.'* ~ Tuesday. John Gattely charged with committing a criminal offence on a little girl eleven years of age was sentenced to 5 years and 50 lashes.
