, ■ Saturday >The Lyttelton Harbor Board navedecided to: ofEerGunningham and Co., £20,000 for their, interest m the lease of Peacock's wharf, Lyttelton. If accepted, all the wharves and jetties of Lyttelton will then be vested m the Board. . The medical officer of the»local Board of Health reports seventy cases of infectious diseases during the last eight months,: forty being scarlet ' fever, twenty typhoid fever, and ten diphtheria. The number of deaths from zymotic diseases during the same periqi was thirty-three, of which twenty-four were children. The report is considered very -satisfactory m comparison withthe health returns for the other "cities k* the colony, • ; -. x V
