v - .Monday. ARussian official despatch reports the continuation of fighting at Shipka Pass until twelve on the morning of the 25th. A despatch from Sulieman Bey on the 23rd states that Russian' sorties were repulsed. A general, assault took place on the following day ; the Russians were completely surrounded and the. Turks commanded their line of retreat to Gabrova. A Stamboul despatch of the 26th states that Sulieman Bey captured the Pass and attacked Gobrova. x Tuesday. The capture of Shipka Pass is uncon--firmed. ; Gambetta has been prosecuted for a speech hostile to the Government.
