TO THE ELECTORS OF THE MANAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL:— Gentlemen,— . At the request of several of my fellow Townsmen and Electors, I have the honor to offer you my services as a candidate for your Council, and should you do me the honor to return me as such, I shall deem it my duty to* use every effort for the furtherance of your best interests, and I shall further consider that your having returned me to' the Council a proof that you think me a fit person for that position. If, however, yon should afterwards find that I fail to do you that justice which yon have a v right to expect from tnc m a reasonable way, then it will be your duty to call upon me to resign and my greatest pleasure to do so.
