Sib, — The unsightly- and dangerous, appearance of the road .at the Terrace end of this township, after the heavy rains which have fallen .since .Thursday and which have filled the large open ditches on the.road side with water, ren--der it necessary (to say nothing of the claims of owners and occupiers of land on the roadside) that some steps should be taken, at. once to "remedy the evil. , There have of late been many accidents, and although involving no actual loss ' of life or limb, yet- m the present dangerous state of the road, and /bearing' m mind the fact of the. trains passing regularly along the line of railway, the most sanguine of economists cannot .term it safe. I trust," therefore, that some others will come forward and take the question up, and urge, upon either the Government of the Council to perform this really , necessary work. — I am, &c, Resident. '
