' ' - Thursday. After twenty-four hours' continous fighting the African Bill passed through Committee m House of Commons. The Russians have been reinforced, and are advancing from Ardahan. The advanced guard is near Pennek. ' The defeat of tthe Russians at Plevna is admitted, and the Turkish soldiers are acting on the defensive! Their loss is relatively small.
