NOTICE is hereby given that Courts will be held for lleviaing the List of Voters : — For the Electoral District of Wanganui, on WEDNESDAY, the 23rd MAY, 1877, at eleven o'clock m the forenoon, at the Supreme Court House, Wanganui ; For the Electoral District of ilangitikei, on FRIDAY, the 25th MAY, 1877, at eleven o'clock m the forenoon, at the Itesident Magistrate's Court House, Marton ; For the Electoral District of Manawatu, on MONDAY, the 28th MAY, 1877, at eleven o'clock m the forenoon, at the Resident Magistrate's Court House, Fcxton, At which the claims of persons objected to will be determined, The names of persons proved to be dead will be expunged, The names of any persons whose Christian names, or place of abode, or the nature of whose qualification shall be wholly omitted where by law required to be specified on the list, or whose place of abode, or the nature or description of whose qualification are insufficiently described for the purpose of being identified, will be expunged, unless the matter so omitted or insufficiently described be supplied to the satisfaction of the Revising Officer before he shall have completed the revision of such list of voters. I, the undersigned, being appointed Registrar of Dogs for the Mauawatu County under " The Dog Nuisance Act, 1863," call the attention of the public to clause 7 : — "Any person owning, maia- : taining, or having charge of a dog six months old, unregistered, shall be liable to a penalty of not exceeding Five Pounds for every dog so owned,- maintained, or being m his charge/ All dogs must be registered on or before 31st May next, or the penalty will be enforced according to the above cla.use. Office for Registering Dogs : County Council Office Foxton. Office' Hours, 10 to 4 ; Saturdays, 10 to 1. On receipt of Post Office Order for : 5/- and stamped envelope, with name, color, and description of dog, together with owner's name, address and occupation, a badge will be forwarded. I hereby give notice, that the following Resolutions were adopted at aj Special Meeting on the 18th April, and that such Resolutions will be confirmed on the 30th May :— That Salary to the Clerk of the, . Council will be at the rate of £150 per annum. That the Bye-Latfs, as proposed,be adopted. That the Salary of Chairman be £150 for his term of Office end- r ing m November next. That the Tolls. of the Lower Ferry/ Manawatu Gorge, be passed as printed. That the Scale of Charges at pre-^ sent m force as read, at FoxtonFerry, be adopted.
