Suburban Councils have agreed to extend the term of Mr Proudfoot's tramway concession to fourteen years at an annual rental for the first ten years of £50, and £100 for, the rest of the term. '. ; The absnrdity of the present system of teaching m the grammar and elementary schools is' exciting attention ; also, the great cost of the high class schools above the amount of school fee's. ' The " Star'! warns 'friends ; to settlement that the -squatters will stick at nothing to keep their runs. Aletter m the "Times "suggests, that the Press Agency be discharged like other incompetent servants', and an.intelligent Agency established. .Complaints are loud and con starit.
