Count De La Pasture's property at ■- Arnuri, comprising 8,538 acres freehold, i 28,938 leasehold, and 13,249 liceusehold, J with 18,000 sheep, sundry cattle and ? horses, has been sold to Mr W. A. Low ." : for £26,000. , An inquest was held at the Lunatic j Asylum on the body of Gilchrist, the J man who, while delirious m. typhoid g fever, was. sent by the hospital authori- 1 ties to the asylum with a certificate that I he was suffering from acute mania. fl After' hearing the evidence, the juryj| returned the followiug verdict : — " Wo l find that the deceased-died from naturall causes, but considerable blame, m our | opinion, is attached to the "hospital | authorities for not having discovered I the case to be one of typhoid, and for J having sent a man suffering from fever | to ah asylum." | Wednesday. -J A farmer named Turner was goredj? by a bull yesterday. His lower jaw '] was torn avray, and other injuries m- J flicted. His recovery is very doubtful, j The land sales last month realised j over £88,000.
