Christchurch, Friday. Export prices f.o.b. : — Wheat, from 4s 6d upwards ; farm oats, 2s fid to 2s 9d ; barley, 3s 6d to 4s 9d, demand dull ; potatoes, £3 ; flour, £16 to £17 ; bran and sharps, 4s lOd to 5s lOd respectively ; cheese, 9d ; butter, Is. Shipments of wheat to England and Australia heavy. London, April 27. The Loan and Mercantile Agency report : — Wool market dull. Antwerp sales flat. May series comprise about 300,000 bales. Tallow m good demand. Market firm. Holders demand higher rates. Mutton, 43s ; beef, 41s, Wheat market firm. Off coast cargoes have advanced since last report. Adelaide is worth 68s ; New Zealand, 625. April 29. • There hos been a further fall m the stock market. Consols are down to 94. Colonial bonds are generally one per cent, lower. The Berlin and Antwerp wool sales show great depression. Prices are lower, and there have been heavy withdrawals. The wheat market is still rising, and there has been an advance during the month of 25 per cent., mainly owing to American speculation. New Zealand is quoted at from sixty-four to sixty-eight.
