Monday. Great interest was taken m the election of a member for the General Assembly to-day. The total returns from Ross, Woodstock, Donohughs and Eedmans show a majority of 21 m favour of Gisborne, Returns from further South are not yet to hand, bat they, cannot possibly affect the result. Gisborne's return may be looked upon as certain.
