MR FREEMAN R. JACKSON'S FORTNIGHTLY REPORT. Thttesdat, Apeil 26. (From the " Wanganui Chronicle.".) At Wnverly, on Saturday, 58 head of cattle were sold. Steers, from 18 months and upwards, £4 17s 6d ; heifers, £4 ; bullocks, £8; cows, £5 17s 6d. At Waireka, milch cows made from £8 12s 6d to £11 ; cakes, 6 months old, £2 7s 6d; cows, £6. At St. JEill Street to-day, 50 head were yarded, arid sold ut quotations t—^Fat bullocks, £9 10s to £9 17s 6d ; cows, £6 10s to £8 7s 6d ; store cows, £& 2s 6d. At Waverly, 2,377 slieep were sold. Breeding ewes, from 6s 9d to. 8s ; lambs, 4s 3d ;, store 'wethers, 7s 6d ; rams, fiom 10s to 60s. ...... At Waireira sale, 2,921 sheep were sold. Lambs, 4s 9d 5 ewes 6s 6d to 7s ; old ewes, 3s 3d ; store wether's, 7s 9d. At. St. Hill street -to-day, 801 were sold. Best wethers, up to lls 3d j one pen, also, at IQs 6d and 10s 9d .; fat ewes, 7s 9d to 8s ; lambs, 4s 9d ; old ewes, 3s 6d. I have sold a few horses at fair prices. Hacks, from £3 to £12 ; draught, mares, £24 10s. The entire thoroughbred horse I sold to Mr Walker, for £90,wh0 resold him for £110. Prince of Canterbury was not sold. Red Prince was previously sold pi'ivately, for £180. Exports of cattle, 52 head ; sheep, 1,2^6.
