MANAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL. I hereby give notice, that the following Resolutions were adopted at a Special Meeting on the 18th April, and ; that such Resolutions will be confirmed on the 31st May : — . ' That Salary to the Clerk of the Council will be at the rate of £150 per annum. That the Bye-Laws, as proposed; be adopted. That the Salary of Chairman be £'150 for his term of Office ending m November next. That the Tolls of the Lower Ferry, Manawaiu Gorge, be passed as. printed. That the Scale of Charges at prei sent m force as read, at Foxtoil Ferry, be adopted. That Hawkers and- Pedlars pay a half-yearly License Fee of £5 such license to free them over the area of the County, excepting snch portions as are contained m Local Board boundaries. ERNEST S.
