If the transit be observed^ photographs.of ! the suriirill- be taken. "■■; The Cabinet have issuied instructions to. the several departmeJnts'occupying the new government buildings that; while the present office hours 6f 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. are still to be keptj the custom of allowing , half an hour's absence for luncheon is to be discontinued, and no. one during "office hours will be allowed, to leave the buildings without special penriissipri. An adjacent building will be used as a refectory, where Government officers may 'obtain refreshments. The Government give £200 towards furnishing thb. room and providing culinary requisites. ; Smoking is strictly prohibited m iariypart of the buildings. These regulations will come into force as soon as the Heads of departments have made the 1 necessary arrangements. <
