An extraordinary tombstone dispute has arisen at Wadsley Bridge; near Sheffield. The widow of one Benjamin Xeeton, a re cently deceased cricketer of some local renown, has erected a tombstone to her husband's memory, on which is carved a set of, stumps about a foot high, with bat and ball. The vicar and churchwardens declare the stone was surreptitiously fixed, and have ordered its removal, which has caused intense local excitement. — " Canterbury Times."
