SYDNEY.
Wednesday. The schooner Spunkie, from Maryborough, reports speaking the barque Sydney off the northern coast, from Hongkong, bound to Otago, full of passengers, and with ten cases smallpox. An attempt will be made to-night by the Opposition to refuse supplies, as the Government have not the confidence of the House. Holders of breastuffs continue firm, but no business is doing ; prices are unchanged. There are several inquiries for New Zealand oats ; holders are firm at.3s6d. The Albion has left Melbourne for S.ail<J^s3;ero for Auckland. Thursday. The, Governor refused dissolution, and the Government has resigned.
