Hack Race of £5; entrance, 10s 6d; 1 mile ; catch weights ; heats. Maiden Plate of £30; entrance, 2 guineas ; 1| miles ; weight for age ; for all horses who have never won an advertised race. Ladies' Purse of £20 ; entrance, 2 guineas ; lh miles ; welter weights ; heats. Pony Race of £5 ; entrance, 10s 6d ; once round the course ; under 14 hands. Manawatu Stakes of £75 ; handicap ; 2£ miles ; nomination, 2 guineas, to be made to the secretary before Ist March ; weights declared on the night of the sth March, and acceptances to close on night of general entry, with 3 guineas. Any horse having won a race value £50, after declaration of weights to carry 71 bs extra, Consolation Stakes of £15 ; entrance, 1 guinea ; li- miles; handicap; post entries.
