The following are the acceptances for Greymouth Jockey Club Handicap : — Tommy Dodd, Bst; Strongbpw, Bst; Lady Mary, 7st 10lb ; Izaak Walton,7st 61b ; Kingfisher, 7sfc 101 b ; Nero, 7sfc lOlb, Septimus, 6st 101 b; Doncaster, 6st ; Black, Eagle, 6st. # ' • A sailor named Brown, belonging to the schooner Cleopatra, fell between the wharf and the vessel while going* oh board hist night, and was drowned. The man was sober, but as there -were no lights on the wharf it is supposed he tripped and fell. •
