PATEA.
Wednesday. The County Council met yesterday. The chief business was the elc^jßn of a clerk, &c. There were sixty-foul applications, and John Black, of stNew Plymouth, was elected. Mr Kell^resigned the chairmanship and Mr Sherwood was elected. The Council did not adjourn till an early hour this morning.
