TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — In your issue of Wednesday last I observe a paragraph stating on the authority of your contemporary, the " Waikato Times " that " since frogs were introduced into the Euapuke district mosquitos have almost disappeared." This, sir, is simply another verification of the often proved fact that the frog is the natural enemy of the mosquito. Now, sir, what we, the unfortunate inhabitants of this township suffer during the summer months from these pests is too well known to need comment.

That we should continue to suffer when a remedy is within our reach is, I consider, entirely our own fault. Let us then "go m" for frogs. I am sure the obliging secretary of the Auckland Acclimatisation Society would willingly make us a present of a few dozen, the freight of which would amount to perhaps a couple of pounds, towards which, I am sure, every resident m this township would gladly contribute his mite. At all events the experiment is worth the trying, for if froggy does no good he will certainly do no harm. I am, &c, Christopher Tadpole.
