Aid Corporation's offices on Saturday, the 3rd inst. : Present — Messrs Halcombe (ia the chair), 'Maysm6r, Macarthur, Bailey, •and Linton. . \ MINUTES. The minutes of the, previous meeting were read and confirmed. ACCOUNTS. The. Treasurer reported the receipt of £71 4s l|d for rates, and also £188 15s as Government subsidy. The petty cash account, £3 4s Bd, and clerk's ' salary accdunt, £7 10s, were passed for payment. tendees. ' ■ '. [ , The following tenders were received for Taonui road contract :— . Robert Price, per chain, £4, declined. J\W. Wells and T. Taylor, per chain,, £2 18s 6d, accepted. For Camden and Denbigh streets contract : — J. C. Nathan, metalling, per chain, £2 19s ; for bridge, &c, £7 ; declined. G. T. H. Lyne, metalling, per chain, £3 ; for bridge, &c, £6 10s ; declined. R. J. Price and R. Price, per chain, £3 18s 6d ; for bridge, &c, £2 5s ; declined. R. Bowler and T. Pudney, per chain, £2 17s ; bridge, &c, £8 ; accepted. EESOLTJTIONS. 1. That the Treasurer be appointed, on behalf of the Board, to object to valuations under section 14 of the Rating Act, 1876. 2. That the. Chairman be ; authorised to purchase the necessary stationery and a copying press for the Board. The Board will hold its next meeting on Saturday, the 10th inst.
