Parish, of Canterbury, and won the Ist prize m Christchurdh as a three year old m 1870 ; also, the Ist prize m Timara m "1871. Has stood two years m the Wairarapa, "where he proved himself a sure foalgetter, and during ...which time he took the 2nd prize at the Hutt Show. Pemgbee. Britannia is out of Litstone, imported from Tasmania. Litstone was sold for 180 guineas at Tattersall's. Britannia was got by the imported horse Major, imported from Scotland to Tasmania m 1863. Major took the Ist prize m Tasmania three years running. Was bred by Mr Kerr, of Ayrshire, out of his prize mare Clydesdale, got by old Prince Royaly who gained seven prizes m 1859, and had the first prize awarded to him as being the best animal of the horse kind at the great show at Hamilton. Britannia will travel to Oroua, Feilding, and Sandon on Monday's ; to Bulltown on Tuesdays, returning to Sandon again on Tuesday evenings, and arriving at Palmerston on Wednesdays, where he will serve for the remainder of the week at the Clarendon Stables. Tebms : Single mares, £3 5s ; with two or more mares the usual reduction will be made, Groomage fee, ss. Paddocks free for one month, after which 2s 6d per week will; be charged.
