MESSRS. BETHUNE & HUNTER have received instructions from A. F. Halcombe, Esq., Agent to the Emigrant and Colonists' Aid Corporation (Limited), to sell by public I auction, at their Sale Rooms, Customhouse Quay, on THURSDAY, 25th JANUARY, 1877, The following valuable lands : — About 100 TOWN and SUBURBAN SECTIONS at FEILDING hitherto reserved from sale. The Town of Halcombe. Suburban Sections of Halcombe. About 4,000 Acres of Rural Land adjacent to Feilding and Halcombe. The town and suburbs of Halcombe are situated on the main railway line between Wanganui and Foxtcn, which is completed through Feilding to within four miles of Haicombe (which when finished will complete the connection between Wanganui and Foxton), remainder being now under contract. These lands have been open for eight months to bond fide residents only, and now contain a population of over 400. With the exception of a small part of the town which is light bush, the whole of the town and suburban lands are rich, dry fern and flax land, and, as will be seen by the sale-plans, the adjacent country is being opened up by roads converging on the railway stations. The rural lands are subdivided into sections varying from 40 to 500 acres ; they are all easily accessible to the railway line, and some of them contain very valuable timber. The upset prices placed upon the land j offered for sale are, with the exception of the suburban sections at Halcombe, less than have been realized by sales of the lands adjacent. Lithographed plans containing the fullest particulars may be obtained from Messrs Bethune & Hunter, Mr Freeman Jackson, Wanganui, and from the Agent E. & C. Ajcd Corporation (Limited),' at Feilding or Halcombe, either by letter or personally. "y MILVE RTO N, Painter, Papehhanger, &c, Next door to Mr. S. Abraham's store, Palmerston North.
