Canada is increasing her production both of gold and oil. During the first, five months of 1940 more than 65,000 ounces of gold more were produced compared with the same period of 1939. The increase over the first five months of 1939 in the output of crude petroleum and natural gasoline was nearly 500,000 barrels. —British Official Wireless.
