The vital statistics for Marton .for September arc as follow, the figures for tho corresponding month of last year being in parentheses: Births. 6 (15); deaths, 1 (5); marriages. 5 (6). Tile rainfall in Marion for last -month totalled 2.22 in. as against the, average of 3.47 in. Rain fell on 13 days, the heaviest diiilv fall (,52in.) being recorded on September 11.
