IMPROVEMENT' TO-MORROW. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 2. The centre of the recent depression is now near the Chatham Islands, while an anti-cyclone is still centred over Tasmania. The forecast is for southerly winds strong to gale force in exposed positions, otherwise moderate. The weather will be changeable at first, with passing showers chiefly in and east of the ranges, but improving to-morrow in the west and south. Temperatures cold. Seas rough.
