FOR MISSING PLANE
INCLEMENT WEATHER

According to telephoned advice from Constable Powell, of Mokau, this morning, several people when questioned said they heard one and possibly two planes flying low early yesterday afternoon in the vicinity ot Mokau. The constable resumed the search for the missing Air Force machine along the cliff edge on the beach between Mokau and Mohakatino this morning, but without result. Visibility was good till 11 a.m., when a violent electrical storm occurred, continuing till after noon. - Two o,f the three Airspeed Oxfords which left Hobsonville at 6 o’clock this morning to search landed at New Plymouth at 8 a.m., and left again shortly atterwards to resume the search.
