WANTON DAMAGE.

(Rec. 10.40 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 30. About 100 shops and* houses wfere demolished, a public house was wrecked, and a clubhouse was seriously damaged in South-West London last night. Another raider jettisoned its bombs in a North-West London • residential quarter, damaging houses and is believed to have wiped out a family of three.

Six out of yesterday’s total .of ten aircraft destroyed were shot down by anti-aircraft gunners over South-East England. They got one before dawn, three during the morning, one during the afternoon, and the sixth about 10 p.m.
