ALLOCATION TO HOMES.

PALMERSTON NORTH PARTY.

The British,'children who arrived at Palmerston North on Saturday entered their new homes to-day, leaving the All Saints’ Children’s' Home, where they have stayed in the meantime, early this afternoon. 'Six of the children will stay in Palmerston North and four have gone to Feilding. Of the six living in Palmerston North, a brother and a sister are together in one home and two brothers in another, and a brother and a sister live in adjoining homes. , The allocation is as follows: To Mr and Mrs Bruce Levy, of Fitzherbert Avenue, Grace Marjory Black, aged 9 years and Robert Black, aged 7 years, brother and sister. To Dr T. H. Pullar and Mrs Pullar, Heretaunga Street, David Dunford, aged 6 years, and Reginald Dunford, aged 11 years, brothers. To Mr and Mrs S. McClymont, 126 Heretaunga Street, Norman Hair, aged 11 years. To Mr and Mrs B. C. Malcolm, 128 Heretaunga Street, Marion Hair, aged 13 years.

The following reply has been received by the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. P. Fraser) from the Lord Provost of Edinburgh, in acknowledgment of Mr Fraser’s cablegram notifying the safe arrival of the Scottish children: “Thanks for cable. We knew Scottish children would receive warm welcome from their kinsfolk in New Zealand. Cordial greetings from Edinburgh to your great Dominion.—Henry Steele, Lord Provost.”
