There were no netitions in bankruptcy filed with tlic Deputy Official Assignee in Palmerston North (Mr F. C. Litchfield) in September. Two were filed for the corresponding month of last year. There was a general stoppage of work yesterday on AVest Coast dredges following the decision of the Dredgeworkers’ Union at the annual meeting to take a stand against Sunday work. The union considers that the Sunday rates in the dredging industry should be better.
