MANAWATU ASSOCIATION.

CO-OPERATION FOR RELIEF

In reply to inquiries received as to the action taken by the Alanawatu Automobile Association in requesting the Government to release a greater supply of petrol for use by private owners of cars, the l president of the association (Air AV. H. Brown) stated to-day that his association, together with all other automobile associations throughout New Zealand, is making concerted representations to the Government through the parent bodies, namely, the North Island Alotor Union and the South Island Alotor Union. Representations have already been made and the result of this action should be made known within the next day or so. In the event of n satisfactory settlement not being arrived at, .it is the intention of the parent bodies to send a delegation to wait on the responsible Alinisters in an endeavoul- to have the wishes of the motor associations complied with.
