MANAWATU SPRING SHOW.
Established in 1866 the Manawatu A. and P. Association is recognised as one of the leading associations in the Dominion, and its spring fixture, which takes place this year on November 6 and 7, is looked forward to hy thousands of people throughout tile province, and many other parts of the North Island. From experience gained in the World War of 1914-18, it, is anticipated that the coming Show will receive the wholehearted support of the farming community, and with the most favourable spring for many years it is anticipated that the stock section will be particularly strong. In addition to the cattle section, it is anticipated that the sheep and pig divisions will also show an increase, the latter in particular; the. valuable cash prizes offered for the utility classes are creating a great deal of interest, and should result in keen competition. Many valuable trophies are offered, including a valuable tea and coffco service for fat lambs. Entries close for borne industries on October 17 and stock classes on October 23, bur, an appeal is made for exhibitors to forward their entries as early as possible before the .closing dates. Copies of the schedule will be posted on ‘application to the secretary (Miss A. Pickering), P.O. Box 85, Palmerston North.
