HOSTILITIES AT DAKAR. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 1.37 p.m.) RUGBY, Sept. .26. A communique issued by General, de Gaulle’s headquarters stated that the trooDS who fired on the de Gaulle forces at Dakar did so under German pressure. From Vichy it is officially announced that the French submarine Bevezers torpedoed H.M.S. Resolution, which withdrew listing without firing. The Richelieu fired her four 14in. guns, hitting H.M.S. Barham. French planes shot down a British plane spotting for the naval guns. The British warships left Dakar f.t 6.30 p.m. on September 25.
