RONGOTEA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) RONGOTEA, Sept. 23. A splendid piece of craftsmanship is to -be seen in the inlaid table made and donated by Mr J. Burden, of Palmerston North, to Rongotea for patriotic purposes and the committee have decided to offer the table for a competition. It is now on view at a local store.
The national appeal for reading material for the troops in camps is meeting with a ready response in Rongotea, but still more books are required to meet the demand of men’s idle hours in the camps.
