AIOTUin AIAORI BRANCH

The September meeting of the Alotuiti Maori branch of the AALD.F.U. was held at the residence of Airs E. Te Rangi. Mrs H. Chapman (vice-presi- | dent) presided over ia good attendance. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames L. Eder, Holgerson, Tamati, Sim and Aliss Paul. A donation of £1 10s from the branch is to be forwarded to the Spitfire Fund. A competition was won by Mrs TO. Te Rangi. The secretary was instructed to write to Airs Cootes, of Himatangi, wishing her a speedy recovery from her serious illness. Afternoon tea was served by Airs Fitzgerald and Airs Te Rangi. The next meeting, to be held at. the residence of Airs H. Chapman, of Rangiotu, will take the form of a gift afternoon for Airs E. C. Devonshire (formerlv Miss Raurira Reneta) in honour of her recent marriage.
