During the past week the Patriotic Committee forwarded to the Zone Commit tee at Feilding the parcels collected for refugees, and these will ' be forwarded overseas when required. Local residents made a generous response. Parcels have been forwarded to the local men serving overseas so as to reach them for Christmas. The Women’s Institute has been working steadily on soldiers’ comforts and their efforts arc greatly appreciated. The next euchre and dance will conclude the first series of functions and it is hoped to be able to hand over at least £45 from these.
