CASES OF MEASLES.
, MEMBERS OF BATTERY
NOT REGARDED AS SERIOUS.
Several cases of measles have been reported among members of F Troop, 4th Field Battery, New Zealand Artillery, now in training at Palmerston' North. The few' cases so far reported, however, are not regarded as constituting a serious outbreak, and as no new cases were reported this morning this is regarded as- an indication that tile position is improving. The outbreak is certainly not regarded as likely to affect the training of the troop or. its change of quarters to the camp at Foxton next week. It has now been arranged for this to take place next Tuesday, and the men aro eagerly looking forward to being under canvas. The advance party from the troop left for Foxton yesterday. There is a more serious outbreak of measles among the members of the Hawke’s Bay troop of the battery, however, and these may make it necessary to revise the arrangements for Territorials there to go into camp at Foxton. Fifteen of the Hawke’s Bay personnel are suffering from the complaint. ■
For- the first time since it began training F Troop will take' partin whole-day manoeuvres. These have been arranged for next Thursday and '■Friday.
