NEW ZEALAND POLITICS.

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —Permit me to protest against the statement made by your correspondent “100 Per Cent” anent my sneering and casting reflections on Mr Lee as a returned soldier who lost his arm in the Great War,Awhen speaking at the Opera House recently. Whatever political difference there may be between Mr Lee and myself, no one, not even his greatest opponent, would stoop to question Mr Lee’s loyalty to his country and patriotic fervour. The insinuation tvas contemptible, equal only to the mind that conceived it. That is all. I wish to say; the rest of “100 Per cerit.’s” vacuous flow I think condemns itself. —I am, etc., T. ROE, Palmerston North, 23-9-40.
